I'm glad that there is light being shed on the practices of the FDA--if we can't rely on them, I don't know how we're supposed to evaluate packaged foods. I'm sorry your son reacted to a product that was deemed safe by the packaging--that's just horrible. This ongoing investigative series should be interesting. Next, they're delving into Whole Foods and based on their responses so far "it's not our problem, it's the manufacturer's problem" I'm curious to see what is uncovered about them. I hear ya, sister. I agree with you and I try to make most of my sons food from scratch. But sometimes you just can't and you need something like a convenience food to help out. And what do we do about meats and lunch meat? I would LOVE to have my own farm and be able to butcher my own animals, but that is just on our reality. I have to rely on food manufacturers to be honest and I have to rely on government agencies to protect us. This whole thing makes me very angry, sad and scared.
