Thank you so much for posting this! We are going to Disneyworld for my son's 3rd birthday in October and my biggest concern is how we would navigate all the eating out with his food allergies(peanuts, cashews, & eggs). We very rarely eat out anymore because it's been difficult to find restaurants that are trustworthy--much less scary to just prepare my own food. I love your site--it's so nice to know that we aren't the only parents out there that are dealing with this issue. I can't wait for your cookbook!

So glad you had a good time! Watch out though, I'm pretty sure they put some magical addictive substance in their water that makes you want to go back as soon as your bank account recovers!

Sounds like you have had a busy and fun filled vacation. I'm so happy that you were all able to experience these great attractions together as a family. When we were at Disney this year, I felt like I was 6 years old again and loved being there with my children. It truly is magical and the fact that they are so allergy aware (we were in Florida) makes it a great destinations for families with food allergies. Congratulations!

I am so happy that you have all had a wonderful vacation. You so deserved this! I am even more estatic that you had a lot of support from all of these parks and places in regards to food allergies. I wish only the schools were this proactive. Maybe they should take note?

I found the staff at Disney World to be very helpful when we were planning our visit. I was able to get information in advance that detailed where peanut-free (and in our case, egg-free as well) foods were available in each park. I also indicated our daughter's allergy-related needs on our dining reservation. The chef came out to our table to discuss how he could adjust a recipe to make her meal safe. Also, when we ended up at a dinner show that we hadn't planned, the staff was still extremely accommodating. Plus, we were able to pack our own snacks to be sure we had enough foods that our daughter could eat (which really turned out to be a non-issue with all of the nutritious options available).
