Oh, just seeing that adorable baby – but with the rough face reminds me of my son at that age. Your heart just goes out to them – they handle it like troopers – as best they can – for me, if I had that – I would be one cranky gal.
Congratulations on baby Michael! I love all of your recipes and postings. My son is milk, egg, and nut allergic. We had our 2nd baby 2/21/10 and her eczema looks a lot like Michael’s. I’m a wreck to find out what she may be allergic too! Keep us posted on little Michael.
So sweet!! Our third baby boy had eczema so bad – at his 2 month well baby the doctor didn’t want to give him shots because he didn’t have a spot of smooth skin. His skin was covered from head to toe with many spots left open and bloody from his excessive itching! His clothes would even stick to his skin and then I’d have to soak them before trying to peel them off. Horrible! If he was awake he was screaming-you can imagine why. I took him to an allergy doctor and dermatologist. He was diagnosed with dairy, egg, nut and fish allergies. I stopped nursing and went to soy formula. Here’s what we were told to do. Bathe often using dove unscented bar soap, lather frequently with cetaphil lotion and then he was perscribed a couple of steroid creams too. He did end up clearing up at around 1 year. It’s a very tough time on everyone when you have such a fussy baby who requires so much extra care. I often said that I should place pictures on every wall of him smiling so I could see that precious face happy once in awhile.
We have four children: 7, 5, 2, 6 months and the first three have anaphylactic reactions to different foods (dairy, egg, nut, fish). THANK YOU so much for the wonderful cookbook. I never thought our children could enjoy such delicious foods together!
THANK YOU! I just came across this blog. My 2 year old has life threatening allergies to peanuts, tree nuts, and shellfish. I’ve been very overwhelmed by all of it and I’m so excited to try your recipes and read about your families triumphs. Your baby is beautiful!

Keep on doing what you do!

Eczema is really so itchy and i cant help but scratch it. Corticosteroid is a heaven sent because it can relieve the itchiness and redness. |
