Stay tuned….

Happy holidays my friends! The New Year is right around the corner, and with that will be the debut of my new and improved website for Food Allergy Mama! I’ve taken many of your suggestions over the years, such as a more streamlined process in which to search for all my FREE recipes, as well as my favorite food allergy stories, trials and tribulations. There will also be a section to pre-order my new book The Food Allergy Mama’s Easy and Fast Family Meals, as well links to my favorite resources and blogs.

Please bear with me as this change will be happening over the next few days, and my site might look a little whacked for a bit. But it is only temporary and know that my site will be active and ready to use at your disposable as soon as possible.

It’s been another amazing year with all of you, the best readers in the universe. I LOVE your comments, stories, tips, words of advice, and encouragement this past year. This blog would not exist without your faithful readership and support, and I’m truly grateful to each and every one of you. Even the naysayers….the negative Nancy’s…I’m grateful to you too. Because it’s often those harshest critics that inspire me to do better at getting the world around us more educated about food allergies and its effects on our children.

Thank YOU for a great 2012, and I’m very much looking forward to 2013 with LOTS of new and exciting things! Happy New Year to you and yours!!

  1. Happy New Year! So excited got your “pre-order” book for Christmas! Cant wait for it to come! We had a wondeful Christmas using many of recipes from your Baking book :)

  2. Kelly,
I want to take a minute to thank you for all you do. Your website and baking book have reignited my passion for baking and helped me to cope with my kids food allergies. My 4 1/2 year old daughter was diagnosed with milk and egg allergies at 13 months. She was later diagnosed with a tree nut allergy as well. This past August my 2 year old son was diagnosed with peanut and egg allergies. We are fortunate to live in a city with vegan baked options but the choices are limited and costly. I used to love to bake but gave it up in hopes my daughter would outgrow her allergies and we would bake together when/if she did. I wanted to include her in the baking process as well as enjoying the goodies. I waited anxiously each year at the allergist to hear the allergies were gone and always left disappointed. When I searched for a cupcake option for my son’s second birthday I found your chocolate banana cupcake recipe and your website. Everyone loved the cupcakes and they weren’t just saying it to make me feel good. I immediately ordered your baking book and use it all the time. I’ve preordered your next book and look forward to its arrival. This holiday season I’ve made chocolate chip cookies (best my husbands ever had!), brownies, and ginger kids. Any mom loves to hear their baking tastes great but for a mom with a child with allergies it’s even more powerful. Watching my kids decorate cookies they can eat and share fills me with joy and gives me a lot of perspective. Thank you Kelly for everything. Your baking book has made a world of difference in our lives.

  3. I love your website and The Food Allergy Mamas Baking Book!! My son is in Kindergarten and he has multiple food allergies (milk, egg, wheat, peanuts, and tree nuts). I wanted to thank you for all that you do. I think it is so important to raise awareness..especially in the schools and I have found so much information on your blog. I am excited that you are coming out with a new book!! Happy New Year to you and your family!!

  4. Thank YOU for everything you do!! I have made so many recipes from your baking book, and they are all so incredible! We also baked many of them for Christmas, it was so awesome to have such yummy treats for my FA daughter! (& her siblings loved them all as well!). I can’t wait for your new cookbook-already ordered! Happy, happy New Year!!!!

  5. Hi Kelly,
Just want to take a moment to tell you how thankful I am that I found your website and recipes! My 2 year old was diagnosed with dairy and egg allergies at 11 months, but I knew from the moment I was breastfeeding that she was allergic to milk. She had severe eczema and her pediatrician just said it was the time of year. But it went on for months. Going with my gut, I cut milk out of my diet and her eczema and projectile spitting up completely went away. We also used the Nutramigen starting at 6 months. At her 2 year check up with her allergist, we found out she is also allergic to peanuts! I found your site a couple months ago, but until then I was doing the best I could to give my daughter a variety of foods. I tried other recipes that just didn’t taste good. I have tried many of your recipes and all are so delicious! My husband is very picky and he loves everything I have made as well as my family who cannot tell they are dairy, egg and nut free! Whoopie pies are a #1 request! So thank you so much, looking forward to your new book!

  6. Thank you for all your great information. I am hoping for some thoughts/ suggestions about taking a week long cruise with my two food allergic girls ( dairy, egg, peanut, treenut, shellfish). Trying to figure out how to pack, what to bring….meaning their food, of course. I would love to hear any ideas from those who have experienced traveling with food allergic children.

  7. Do you mind if I quote a few of your articles as long as I
provide credit and sources back to your weblog? My website
is in the exact same niche as yours and my users would genuinely benefit from some
of the information you provide here. Please let me know if this alright
    with you. Regards!
